EQUIP Mission Statement

To provide excellent academics to homeschool families from a Biblical Worldview.

What is EQUIP Education?

EQUIP Education has served the homeschool community since 2009 as a non-profit, 501(c)3 ministry providing academic courses to homeschoolers.  This program was created from the belief that there was a need for quality, secondary academics for homeschoolers and support for families that would like to homeschool but didn’t feel equipped or have the time to teach all the subjects required. After 12 years in person, we transitioned to a live online program allowing us to support homeschoolers across the country in need of quality Christian academics. EQUIP now offers classes ranging from 4th through 12th grades in a structured live online format.  All classes are taught from a Biblical worldview with excellence, integrity, and compassion for each student’s individual needs.

What is EQUIP’s Online program like?

This is not your typical online class! All classes are just like a live classroom where students interact with their instructor and each other. Classes are held once a week per course. They receive structured and manageable homework assignments to complete throughout the week and have access to their instructors for additional support as needed. Students will submit their completed work through our online platform and it will be graded by their instructor (if full enrollment option is selected). Some courses are available to Audit only, which allows your student to attend the live classes but not be responsible for the homework deliverables. We also offer an Independent Study Program, which allows students who can’t attend the live classes to complete the pre-planned curriculum and submit the work for a grade. See enrollment options here.

What Makes EQUIP Unique from other homeschool programs out there?

  • At Equip we realize the parent is the capital “T” teacher in their students' academic career. We count it a privilege and honor to serve as the lower case “t” teacher coming alongside the parent to provide academic support and structure to their homeschool program. As the capital “T” teacher,  you select the courses your students takes, excuse assignments if needed, and have a partner in serving your student’s specific needs.

  • All EQUIP instructors are federally and locally background checked and complete an intensive certified training course specifically for instructors in academic settings and adhere to our statement of faith.

  • EQUIP Instructors are from homeschool families or have worked closely with homeschool families throughout their teaching career. This means they understand the unique dynamic of homeschooling. We do not just allow anyone on our Instructor Staff, but rather those that align with and understand the homeschool experience. We believe a student doesn’t care what you know until they know you care.

  • EQUIP online courses are a live classroom. These are not pre-recorded classes that are impersonal.  We strive to provide a genuine interaction and homeschool community. We have fun and build relationships. We have witnessed EQUIP students go on to build great friendships far beyond the school year.

  • EQUIP is flexible. If you are traveling or your child is ill they can still attend classes if they choose.

  • EQUIP allows for parents to select the course load best for their student.

  • In addition to excellent instruction from instructors invested in your child’s academic development, EQUIP students have access to their graded work for review and report cards to help create transcripts upon graduation if they choose.

  • EQUIP offers flexibility in enrollment. You can receive all the benefits of full enrollment, audit a course, or choose independent study. We work with you to create the best schedule for your student.

  • EQUIP students have direct access to their instructors both during class as well as through our online system throughout the week.

  • EQUIP offers end of year evaluations and/or testing to meet your homeschool legal requirements.

  • EQUIP focuses on character development as well as academic. We study character traits like integrity, perseverance, compassion, truth, faith and more throughout our school year.  (Note: the character studies are available to students enrolled in one of the literature classes)

  • EQUIP parents have optional access to other parents in their students' grade level if desired.

  • EQUIP parents are offered live zoom meetings with teachers and staff as needed for direction, encouragement, and technical support.

  • At EQUIP we work to guard our students from any ideology that conflicts with Scripture. We will always safeguard your student’s spiritual development above all. While we teach from a Biblical Worldview, we prepare them for encountering other worldviews and how to defend their faith and truth.

  • EQUIP seeks to do more than load your student with information. Our goal is to teach them to think critically, logically and objectively.

  • EQUIP instructors provide references and letters of recommendation or college board support for students if warranted.

  • EQUIP’s Home Education Instructional Program's tuition and enrollment fees are 100% reimbursable through the FES scholarship account.

  • EQUIP provides discounts for parents that choose to pay in full but offers flexibility and a payment plan structure for those who can’t.

  • EQUIP’s prices are extremely competitive in the market for what we offer. As a non-profit we do our best to make the program as affordable as possible for homeschool families.
